El Campín Stadium

Bogotá's most iconic stadium, home to Millonarios and Santa Fe since 1938. Football, concerts and the heartbeat of the city in one place.

About the Venue

El Campín has been the home of Bogotá football since 1938. Built on land donated by businessman Nemesio Camacho — whose name the stadium officially carries — it has hosted everything from the 2001 Copa América final to concerts by U2, Justin Bieber and One Direction. For most Bogotanos, it is simply the place where the city comes together.

The stadium currently holds 36,343 spectators and is home to two of Colombia's most important clubs, Millonarios and Independiente Santa Fe. On match days, the atmosphere between the two sets of fans is something that has to be experienced in person.

A new El Campín is currently under construction next to the existing stadium, set for completion in December 2027. With a retractable roof, hybrid grass and capacity for over 50,000 spectators, it will be the most modern stadium in Colombia. Until then, the original continues to host matches, concerts and events without interruption.

How to get there

El Campín sits on one of Bogotá's busiest corridors — the intersection of Carrera 30 and Calle 57. On match days and concert nights, traffic around the stadium builds up well before kickoff, and the streets around it fill up fast after the final whistle. Finding a ride home in that moment is rarely straightforward.

Colescape picks you up from your hotel and drops you at the stadium entrance before the crowd arrives. After the event, your driver is waiting at a confirmed meeting point, no app, no surge pricing, no standing on a corner hoping for a taxi.

We serve all major hotel zones in Bogotá:

  • Zona Rosa / Zona T — 20 to 30 minutes

  • Parque de la 93 / Chico — 25 to 35 minutes

  • Chapinero Alto & Quinta Camacho — 10 to 20 minutes

  • El Dorado International Airport — direct transfers available

After the event, your driver coordinates a specific meeting point outside the stadium gates. You have direct WhatsApp contact throughout the night and up to one hour of waiting time included after the scheduled end time.

Colescape also runs private day trips from Bogotá to destinations like Zipaquirá, Guatavita and Villa de Leyva. Many visitors combine a morning tour with an evening match or concert at El Campín — we handle both.

El Campín is located at Carrera 30 and Calle 57, on the border between the Teusaquillo and Galerías neighborhoods. By TransMilenio take the NQS corridor and get off at the Campín or Movistar Arena station — both are within walking distance of the main entrances. On match and concert nights several access gates open around the stadium — check which one corresponds to your event before arriving.

Frequently asked Question

Where to eat nearby

The Galerías neighborhood surrounding El Campín has a good mix of options for before or after an event. The Centro Comercial Galerías has food courts and casual restaurants within walking distance of the stadium. For something more substantial, the Zona G is about 15 minutes away by car and is one of Bogotá's best dining neighborhoods, international cuisine, good wine and a relaxed atmosphere that works well after a match or concert.

Where to stay nearby

The closest hotels to El Campín are in the Galerías and Teusaquillo neighborhoods. Apartamentos Galerías is five minutes on foot from the stadium and consistently well reviewed by concert and match day visitors. Hotel Estelar Suites Jones and the Fairfield by Marriott Bogotá Embajada are solid options nearby for those looking for more comfort. For a wider range of hotels, Chapinero and Quinta Camacho are 10 to 15 minutes away and connect easily with the stadium on event nights.

About Galerias

El Campín sits at the heart of Galerías, one of Bogotá's most lively and accessible neighborhoods. The commercial strip along Carrera 30 has everything you need before or after an event,  restaurants, cafes, pharmacies and local shops that stay open late on concert and match nights. It is a working neighborhood with no pretension, and that is exactly what makes it easy to spend time in.

A short drive east, the Parkway is one of Bogotá's best kept secrets. A wide boulevard stretching several blocks through the Quinta Camacho and La Soledad neighborhoods, flanked on both sides by some of the most interesting restaurants and cafes in the city. The kind of street where locals go on weekends, relaxed, green and far enough from the tourist circuit to feel like a genuine discovery. Worth the detour before heading to the stadium or after the final whistle.
